Goar B – A brief Vita
With 70 gold and platinum awards in more than 40 countries, Goar B is one of the few German music producers to have celebrated significant international success. His studios have produced titles for films and series by Walt Disney, Dream Works, Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers as well as songs for commercials for McDonalds, Mercedes, Karstadt, Jacobs Kaffee and Toyota.
Goar B's undoubtedly best known and most successful project as an artistic producer is Mambo No. 5 (A little bit of ...). The world hit was number 1 in over 20 countries, and the album "A little bit of Mambo" reached third place in the American Billboard sales charts.
Goar B began his career as a professional musician (guitarist) in various international rock and jazz formations. At the same time, after graduating in economics, he also studied electrical engineering - thus training his business thinking and acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of acoustics and studio technology.
His musical career increasingly developed in the direction of composition and production. Creatively and groundbreakingly, Goar B combined various musical styles with his own compositions and arrangements.
Before establishing himself as an independent producer and composer with the founding of his company Unicade Music in 1997, Goar B worked for several years in various capacities at BMG/Sony, one of the leading companies in the music industry.
Goar B has long been committed to supporting young musicians. Together with the city of Munich, he initiated the band contest "Unüberhörbar". Since 2013, Goar B has been a lecturer in music management at the Macromedia University of Media and Communication.
Another of the music producer's commitments is intercultural exchange through the medium of music. In 2008, as part of a peace project of the German Development Service, he produced an album with the Afghan top star Farhad Darya, who was appointed UN peace ambassador for Afghanistan a short time later. In 2015, Goar B founded the international initiative G-Culture. G-Culture stands for intercultural understanding through the universal language of music. (www.g-culture.de).
